Drift is a beautifully presented magazine about coffee, the people who drink it and the cities they inhabit. As coffee lovers and avid travellers we are big fans!

Each issue immerses itself in the coffee culture of a different city – the first issue focuses on New York and the second issue explores what Tokyo has to offer. We recently purchased the Tokyo issue and have to say the photography is simply stunning.

It is well worth a look if you can get your hands on a copy.

We can't wait for issue 3!

Black House

The quest for home is a primitive pull that none of us can ignore. No matter how much you might consider yourself nomadic, how much you might love the freedom of travelling; ultimately we will each crave a place to call our own.

When Rural Design were approached to build a family home with big dreams and a tight budget, they knew it wouldn't be without difficulty. The site, located on the west coast of the beautiful Isle Of Skye, was particularly vulnerable to the full force of nature's hostility. It also needed to be a self build - quick and easy to assemble - light on its environmental footprint and safe and warm against the elements.

The result is a single-story, mono pitched, cladded beauty that looks so wondrous in its surroundings that it damn near hurts our eyes.

Brief = nailed.
